WELCOME!
Welcome to the 'Through' World! When teenagers and young adults are suddenly sucked through a vortex while nobody is looking,
things might become a bit too weird! Some will break, some will disappear and some will completely light up! Still, they can have a merry time
with the each other and make it out of this strange place! Go back home! Well, 'home', whatever it might be, isn't remembered by our ten 'heroes'.

A sight to behold. « Thread Started on Jul 10, 2008, 9:23am »
Why am I so nervous? Mel thought, disregarding the obvious answer of being thrown into what was certainly a considerable mess with 10 strangers. Of all the strangers, she felt the best connection with Nadie though, and Nadie was willing to follow her through door number one so that was what she did. She walked in – took the plunge. Sucked it up.
With a bit of a mad-cap laugh, mostly to shrug off the feelings of apprehension, she pushed herself the last foot through the door and down the dark hallway. The smell of fresh air hit her with a blast and for a moment she thought she might be home – back on earth anyway. But it was almost too real. The pristine river flowed rapidly around an arc and stretched as far as she could see.
She could almost believe she was outdoors if not for the ominous hallway that stretched behind her. She turned and looked behind her, reaching out for Nadie. It was not exactly the fearless leader persona she was going for – it was ruining her tough girl act completely. She had to deal with this.
Her hand came back to her side and she took the first step onto the new ground – rough rocks accosting her feet even through her sneakers. It was beautiful, a paradise really. Even though she knew it wasn’t real, it was a sight to behold.

After a short while this darkness was starting to freak the girl out, her palms beginning to sweat from her nerves. What if she was walking into oblivion? She didn't know what was at the end of this tunnel. It was like when she was sucked through the vortex and was forced to go forward. Now her feet crept nervously toward the sound of running water, the sound growing louder as she neared. Then, before she knew it she was out the other end, tripping over her own feet from the sudden scenic exposure. She bumped into the back of the other girls back.
Nadie quickly apologized...only to remember that the girl couldn't hear her unless she looked at her. Though her attention seemed to be elsewhere at that moment. As Nadie up righted herself, she took notice of her surroundings as well. A forest...with trees...and running water. She glanced behind her at the ever dark hallway, wondering if this was some kind of joke.
Nadie just couldn't help herself, she walked past a few trees to the river. The sound was nice on her ears. She kneelt down to peer into the water as it went past, slightly able to see her reflection above the water.

Loitering as long as possible in the pitch black hallway, he took one last look at the inviting darkness, and stepped out fully into the world. As his ears popped from a pressure change, they noticed the sound of running water, and some birds chirping nearby. Around him, stately, beautiful trees stood guard, making this place an absolute paradise of growth and life. Unnoticed to him, his fingernails started to gleam unnaturally.
Noticing the two girls, he frantically remember who they were. The one closest to the river was the one who was silent, and the other one, well, he had no idea what she could do. Oh well. He'd find out soon enough.
"Hello." he said. To him it sounded Japanese, but as the old lady had explained, to them it was perfect...whatever language they spoke. "My name's Hiko. What's yours?"
