RPG Collection Character Playby: Nikos Vertis Character Information Name: Alexandros Deimos Diakos Age: 19 [He may look a bit older, but it's hard to find a Greek face!] Sexual Orientation: Straight Homeland: Greece Clothes: At the time of the, er, vortex-ing (and as seen in the picture), Alex was wearing black jeans that were a little too long for him causing them to pool out a bit at the bottom, hiding plain black trainers. For the top, he will be stuck with a black t-shirt emblazoned simply with some intricate and angular design which is coupled with a non-descript, dark brown jacket. Exciting, huh? Likes: Praise, red, being right, him being sarcastic and Oreos. Dislikes: Being ignored, himself or others being ill, custard, others being sarcastic and disappointment. Positive Characteristics: Fantastic memory, ambitious, practical/resourceful, clever and determined. Negative Characteristics: Proud, envious, close-minded, paranoid and intolerant. Past Two people with strong feelings for you: Lander Diakos (Father) - Ever since Alex can remember, his father has been pushing him for greatness. Everything he did, he had to excel. He had to win every sport and quiz, no matter what it's nature. Otherwise there would be disappointment and that was and always will be the one thing he cannot stand. Unfortunately for Lander, Alex is in no way shape or form the son he'd always dreamed of - he can't fight, can't act, can't play any instruments and doesn't like wine. The only thing he was good at was thinking but that wasn't something Alex's father was interested in. For those reasons, the two have a festering mutual hatred of each other, Lander because his son is a failure and Alex because his father makes him feel that way. Astra Diakos (sister) - Alex's little sister whom he loves very much, but doesn't show it. She looks up to him like he was some sort of god despite the fact that he generally fails at life. She is actually better than him in many things (sport included) which is highly embarrassing for the seventeen year old but she never does anything to rub it in his face. Always the parents' favourite, he can't help resent her sometimes but she loves him dearly so she'd always forgiven in the end. Roleplay Sample: Two gray eyes snapped open, accompanied by a hand whizzing out to slam down on the off button of the alarm clock. It had rung once already. Any more would risk waking up someone else - his pushy father, adoring sister or wispy mom. All of them were undesirable to meet before lunch. Pulling on his same-old black jeans, top and a plain brown jacket, the teen pulled a comb through his hair (succeeding in nothing but magnifying the pulled-through-a-hedge-backward look) and scuttled down the stairs for a bite to eat before college. The toast was plain and not very filling. It reminded him of himself. Slinging a scruffy but trustworthy rucksack over his shoulder, Alex trudged down the busy, colourful streets just watching. People, cars, animals - it didn't matter. He was just watching. Alex made this trip every single day (save for Saturday and Sunday, of course) and every day there was something new to look at. The neighbours had gotten a new car, the tree at the end of the road was now clutching a used plastic bag in it's branches, the gaggle of girls who always seemed to accumulate around the corner to catch the bus to the mall had a new member. All these things he noticed, and all these things he remembered. Alex may be useless at a lot of things, but remembering things, insignificant and otherwise, was not one of them. Sometimes he played games in his head with the things he remembered, seeing how many more pieces of crap had been dropped on the side-walk from yesterday's walk or trying to predict what colour the school's 'Queen Bee' would dye her hair next based on those she'd already done. Sometimes he played different head-games, like trying to imagine what people's worst fears might be, or what tragedies their life might have in store for them. Today, for some reason, he was in one of those moods. He was playing a game he liked to call 'What Happens Next' which consisted of thinking up the worst thing he could for people to experience in the next minute or so. Right now he was working on the new member of the girly gang. She was applying another layer of lipstick. What if something was to scare her and it went right up her nose into her brain, killing her instantly. That would be something to write on her grave - huh? Alex literally stopped short in the middle of the road and stared. There was a floating ball of bluey-white light hanging in the middle of the street. He glanced around, puzzled, but no-one else was there to witness the anomaly. He had heard of bad things happening to people when they took deserted alleys but somehow this didn't seem to be in the same league. Frowning, the young Greek wondered what he should do. Should he go ask someone what the hell that thing was? Or just carry on? Soon curiosity got the better of him and he took a hesitant step forward. However, the light didn't seem to like that. The second he put his foot down it blasted open in a soundless explosion, blinding him momentarily with the pale blue brightness. It was still growing, or was he shrinking? Then Alex realised that it was more than that - the 'thing' seemed to be eating up the world, engulfing him completely in the unearthly light. His eyes stretched wide in shock but words failed him completely. It was eating him! It was devouring his body, mind and soul! It was...too late. You've been accepted, welcome to Through and Out's World! First, go to Area 1 and post in the "Through and Out" thread. Follow the guidelines and don't forget that there are already some people there. You may now post at the Character Development board and add any information about Alex you might want - how was his life before, more in-depth information...
